SSK/MSK

Aim of this scheme is that all children should get access to primary education. The State Government had received a number of proposals on starting a community managed flexible primary/elementary education programme in the state, so that these left out children can also be given access to primary/elementary education.

Normally SSKs would accommodate more than 40 children in one standard. SSKs would primarily cater to the need for education of the children of 5 plus to 9 years age group. It is likely that a large number of non-enrolled dropout children between the age group of 9 plus to 14 years would also want to be admitted in these centres. These centres should run for at least 200 days in a year. The Director of Panchayats and Rural Development would be responsible for overall monitoring and supervision of the programme at the state level.
